Public Art Installation | ‘Who Are You?’
“Who are You?’ is a large, abstract interpretation of a DNA fingerprint. The public art installation was custom made for Central Wyoming College.
DNA fingerprints are genetic bar codes, maps of sequences with strands of DNA that are unique to each individual, excluding identical twins.
DNA-fingerprinting is a technique of determining nucleotide sequences of certain areas of DNA and is the same for every cell, tissue and organ of a person.
The bands represent the DNA fingerprint… your unique genetic identity.
Rosemary was pre-med in college and this unusual background inspired her to interpret the DNA fingerprint through artistic expression.
